You are Agent 101 from the British Secret Service. Your phone rings at 6 o'clock in the morning. It's your boss. "Come to the office at once."
Half an hour later you're there. "101," your boss says, "Max Gladstone has put a bomb in The Tower of London. He says the Crown Jewels will be destroyed at 12 o'clock."
"Our people can't defuse his bombs - not without the code," you say. "What's the game this time?"
"Here, he left this note for you."
To my old friend, 101
I've got a little game for you, 101. If you can find five clues - and the answers - by 12 o'clock, you'll find the code for the bomb. If not: BOOM! Here's your first clue:
When he was alive, he wasn't a tall man. Now he's dead, and he's the tallest man in London. Visit him and he'll give you your next clue.
Yours,
Max G.
"What does it mean?" your boss asks.
"Nelson," you tell her. "Admiral Lord Nelson was a small man but his statue was put on top of the column in Trafalgar Square. So now he's the tallest man in London."
"Brilliant, 101!"
"Yes, I am. ... Now, I must get to Trafalgar Square at once."
"A car and driver are waiting for you, 101. You have five hours - 300 minutes."
Go to Trafalgar Square time: -20 (takes 20 minutes).
